Media Cleaner Pro is a professional production tool that optimizes and compresses your movies for desktop playback. It is a MacOS program that produces movies which can be played on both MacOS and Windows machines.
Media Cleaner Pro allows you to pre-process and compress your QuickTime movies using any of the available QuickTime codecs, like Cinepak™ or Indeo™. You can also create RealMedia™ (RealVideo™), RealAudio™, VDOLive™, and AIFF files. Media Cleaner has powerful filters to make your video compress better and time-saving features to help you efficiently manage your compression jobs, such as batch processing and a real-time preview.

About this Demo
This demo is free - you must obtain an unlock code from Terran Interactive in order to use it. To get an unlock code, please visit http://www.terran-int.com/support/RegisterDemo.html
Demo Limitations
The Media Cleaner 2.0 Demo gives you full access to all of Media Cleaner Pro 2.0's features, including the Adobe Premiere™ export module, and all supported formats (QuickTime, RealMedia, RealAudio, VDOLive, and AIFF). As a limitation, the Demo will only compress the first 10 seconds of any movie, and will append a still frame to the end of each movie. The Demo only compresses 15 times - after 15 uses, you can still experiment with the interface, but you cannot start any new compressions.
Note: The last frame of your movie will be replaced by the Media Cleaner Demo picture. Depending on the frame rate of your source and output movies, this may cause the last frame of your source to be dropped. If you need to preserve the last frame of your movie, add the frame to the end of your movie a second time, so there are two copies of the end frame in the source.
Video Samples May Not Be Included
Media Cleaner Pro includes a wizard to help you choose the best settings for your media compression. The wizard uses sample movies to illustrate your options. These movies are stored on the Media Cleaner Pro 2.0 CD-ROM, and are not included with some versions of the Demo, especially those distributed on the Web.
Installing the Premiere Export Module
Make sure to put the Premiere Export Module into your Adobe Premiere Plug-ins folder prior to launching Premiere. For more details on installing the Export Module, please see the Media Cleaner User's Manual.
RealMedia and VDOLive
RealMedia and VDOLive are alternatives to QuickTime for creating WWW movies. When you go to our site to get your unlock code, you may also download demo versions of these technologies.
System Requirements
• A Macintosh or MacOS compatible computer (Power Macintosh strongly recommended)
• 10Mb of application RAM, 1Mb of remaining system RAM
• MacOS 7.5 or later
• QuickTime 2.1 (2.5 strongly recommended)
• Sound Manager 3.2 or later (version 3.2.1 included in QuickTime 2.5 installer)
Known Issues
• The advanced settings for TrueMotion-S and Power!Video codecs are not available directly from within Media Cleaner Pro because of program design by their developer. These codecs options may be set via their control panels. This limitation may be resolved in the future if these codecs are updated.
• There is a memory leak in the ClearVideo 1.2 codec, which may cause batch and Dynamic Preview operations to fail.
• RealMedia and VDOLive support is beta at this point; please see each product's ReadMe for more information on issues specific to those technologies.
• If you have installed the RealVideo Encoder, but you don't have Open Transport (or have partially removed/disabled it), you may get an error when launching Media Cleaner: "Application could not be opened because of an unexpected error." If you get this error, remove the RealAudio folder from your Extensions folder. If you need to process RealVideo, reinstall both RealVideo Encoder and Open Transport.
"Why is my modem dialing?"
• Media Cleaner Pro includes an optional feature to check for news and updates. This makes a connection to the Internet, which can cause a modem to dial if you are using PPP or SLIP. This feature may be disabled via the Preferences menu if desired.
